Yarn Review: Millamia Naturally Soft Cotton

Cotton yarns are the answer to Summertime crocheting, so I’m thrilled to use Millamia Naturally Soft Cotton and provide a yarn review!

I’m always on the lookout for great cotton yarns, for various projects, especially garments!

When I came across Millamia Naturally Soft Cotton on the LoveCrochet website, I just knew I had to try it out!

Not only is it cotton, but it’s also Sport Weight (#2), which means it has a lightweight finish too!

I had a watermelon top design sketched out, so I decided to give it a try in this yarn. Of course, by the time the yarn got here, I had already change my design idea a bunch of times. So, I ended up with the Watermelon Swimsuit Cover.

This yarn truly was perfect for this project!

Millamia Naturally Soft Cotton is 100% cotton, which makes it strong, durable, and breathable, plus it has a light sheen… and shiny yarns are so pretty, right?

This yarn is also made in Italy, which is something that I personally love. I feel like good quality fibers come from Italy.

The LoveCrochet website offers this yarn is 20 colors and all of them are beautiful. From Purples to Blues, to Neutrals, and more!

Each ball is 1.75oz[50g] / 180 yds[165m] and it goes a long way! I made my daughter the Watermelon Swimsuit Cover and I barely even used any yarn. I used less than one ball of the pink, and what feels like scraps of the black, white, and green.

The bonus of this yarn is that it is machine washable! This isn’t necessarily a make or break quality to a yarn for me, but it is really convenient to be able to throw things in the wash and not have to worry about it.

However, it is labeled as not machine dry-able; with it being 100% cotton, I suggest you just lay it flat to dry, so you don’t accidentally shrink it.

So, if you’re looking for that perfect cotton yarn for your summertime projects, this is it! I highly recommend giving it a try!
