How to Make the Wrapped in Love Jar Cozy – Free Crochet Pattern

Although the design was originally centered around Valentine’s day, hearts are such a popular print, that it can be used all year long; it’s easy to customize to fit your aesthetic. And the finished Wrapped in Love Jar Cozy size is easy to change as well!
Here’s how to make the Wrapped in Love Jar Cozy:
Materials
KnitPicks Mighty Stitch Yarn (#4)
- Love Letter (Color A)
- Cream (Color B)
H/8/5.00mm Hook
Yarn Needle
Mason Jar or Other Jar
Optionals Materials:
Hot Glue Gun/Sticks
Gauge
16 sc x 11 rows = 4”
Gauge is not critical for this project
Finished Measurements
Approximately 6” tall before placing on a jar.

Notes
- Beginning ch-1 does not count as a stitch.
- Where asterisks appear, repeat the instructions between them.
- The instructions are written to fit a standard mason jar. For different size jars, work multiples of 2 in the base (and subsequently the sides) and make sure the base is 1 round smaller (approx. ¼”) than the bottom of the jar.

Ch 60; Fasten.
HEARTS (Make 5)
Make a magic ring, ch 1, sc, dc, trc x 2, dc, hdc, sc x 2, ch 2, sc x 2, hdc, dc, trc x 2, dc, sc, sl st; Fasten. Pull ring closed and shape into a heart.
Finishing
- Weave drawstring through R13
- Attach three hearts to the front of the cozy in desired locations.
- Attach one heart to each end of the drawstring.
- Hide all strings.
