This treat bag is marked as an easy skill level, but I would even venture to say that a confident beginner could pull it off, because it only uses simple basic stitches.
Is it customizable?
It’s also easy to change up the finished look! You can make it a little or darker fur color, use fur yarn, make the nose a different color, add eyelashes for a more whimsy look, or even add embellishments like bows!

What materials do I need?

PANEL (Make 2)
With Light Brown,
R1. Ch 13, sc in 2nd ch from hook and in each ch across, turn (12)
R2. Ch 1, sc across, turn (12)
R3-14. Repeat row 2
Hold Panels together, attach yarn to top left corner, working through both layers,
R15. Ch 1, sc in same space as join, sc in end of each row down the side, each st across the bottom, and end of each row up the other side, Ch 25, sl st to the top corner of the opposite side; Fasten. (40 sc, 25 chs)
EARS (Make 2)
With Light Brown,
R1. Ch 4, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across, turn (3)
R2-3. Ch 1, sc across, turn (3)
R4. Ch 1, sc3tog; Fasten. (1)
SNOUT
With Dark Brown,
R1. Ch 7, sc in back bump of 2nd ch and in next ch, turn (6)
R2. Ch 1, sc across, turn (6)
R3. Ch 1, sc, skip 1, sc x 2, skip 1, sc, turn (4)
R4-6. Ch 1, sc across, turn (4)
R7. Ch 1, dec x 2, turn (2)
R8-9. Ch 1, sc across, turn; Fasten at the end of R9. (2)
NOSE
With Black,
R1. Make magic ring, ch 1, 4 sc in ring (4)
R2. *3 sc, 2 sc* 2X; Fasten.
ANTLERS (Make 2)
With Black,
R1. Ch 3, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across, turn (2)
R2-3. Ch 1, sc across, turn (2)
R4. Ch 3, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, sc in each sc, turn (2 hdc, 2 sc)
R5. Ch 3, hdc in 2nd ch from hook and in next ch, sc in each sc, do not work in hdcs, turn (2 hdc, 2 sc)
R6. Ch 1, sc in each sc, do not work in hdcs, turn (2)
R7. Ch 1, sc across, turn (2)
R8. Ch 1, dec, Fasten. (1)
Finishing
- With Light Brown, stitch marks on snout as desired.
- Attach snout to front center of bag so R1 of snout lines up with top row of panel and matches up to the 6 center stitches.
- Attach nose centered to bottom of snout over R8-9. The bottom half of the nose will be attached to the panel.
- Attach buttons eyes to front of panel, one on each side of the snout, 6-7 rows from the top, leaving 1-2 stitches between the snout and eye.
- With Pink, stitch the inner portion to the ears. I made 3 passes.
- Attach ears 3-5 rows from the top, one on each side of the snout, leaving approximately 1-2 stitches between snout and ear.
- Attach antlers 1-2 rows from the top, approximately 1 stitch in from the side.
- With Pink, stitch cheeks on the front panel between R9 & 10, over 2 stitches.
- Hide all strings.
