I’m pretty hooked on Flamingos right now (pun intended…now that I realized there is one!), so shortly after I made the Flamingo Friend, I thought of these super cute baskets!
I use mine for crochet hooks and pens, but they really are a great desk mate. You can throw paperclips, sticky notes, candies, or any other small office supply in them!
The basket itself is approximately 4″ x 4″.

Hi!
I love this pattern, and I think the finished product is very cute. However, I’m still a beginner, and I’m struggling to understand R9 (see below). In R9 am I supposed to sc down the side that I’m on, or do I sc into the other side to make a circle? And even then, how does it go from 10 to 36? I’ve used mostly video tutorials until a few days ago, and I can’t find a video that explains how to do R9. If you’re able to help me understand, send me a video tutorial or a link to one, I would really appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Basil
“R9. Ch 1, sc in the end of each row and in each st arnd, sl st to join in 1st sc (36)”
Hi Basil!
You work R9 around the outside edge of the square.
