Yarn Review: Sublime Evie

I love cotton yarns during the summer, so when I planned to make a vest, I went on the hunt for the perfect cotton yarn and Sublime Evie was it!

They had beautiful colors, the right cotton blend, and it’s made in Italy!

Sublime Evie is an Aran weight yarn that come in 1.75oz/50g (126yd/115m) balls. It is a blend of 94% Mako Cotton and 6% Nylon.

This yarn is a brushed chain, making it snuggly soft! I can only compare the softness to that of silk sheets. It’s wonderful! It actually made me consider making a blanket instead of this vest.

The label suggests a 5mm crochet hook or 5mm knitting needles, but you could easily go bigger, as this yarn is fairly dense. I used a 10mm hook for my Sublime Vest.

This is a gentle care yarn, so it cannot be machine washed or dried; Hand wash only, reshape and lay flat to dry. It can be dry cleaned though.

Sublime Evie comes in 17 gorgeous colors (LoveCrochet has 12 of them); I used Nougat, Zola, Ochre, Honeydew, Luna, and Smoky Lavender to make the most beautiful Rainbow! Even the names of the colors are fun, right?!

Actually, I ordered 8 balls of yarn total and from that yarn I was able to make and Adult Extra Small vest, Child Small vest, and have enough yarn left to make another Child Extra Small vest! This yarn really went a long way. I could have easily made a lacy lapghan from what I had!
