Bunny Wireless Earbud Case – Free Crochet Pattern

The Bunny Wireless Earbud Case is a super cute and super easy cozy to hold your charger case in. This pattern takes very little materials and very little time!

The Bunny Wireless Earbud Case pattern is written for two sizes: standard and wide. I did design these around AirPods, but the smaller size will fit the Google Pixel Buds and the Samsung Galaxy Buds as well. The wider version will also fit the Skullcandy Indy series. <Note: I am unfamiliar with brands other than those listed above, but if the case sizes are similar to one mentioned, then it will fit>

This fast and simple pattern makes a great gift too! Make some for next year or maybe upcoming birthdays. You could also make them for craft fairs or Etsy shops!

Let’s make Bunny Earbud Cozies!

Notes

  • The base is worked in the round with no chains or joins.
  • Pattern is written for smaller size with larger size in parenthesis
  • The first round is worked in worsted weight yarn to keep a clean opening for the charger port.
  • Yarn thickness varies. Different brands/lines/colors can vary, so you may yield a bigger or smaller case. For example: Fable Fur Lapin has a shorter pile than Fable Fur Falke in the balls that I have, so my Falke case is a bit bigger.

Instructions

BASE

R1. With Worsted Weight: Ch 6, join to form a ring, ch 1, 10 sc in ring, do not join or turn (20)

R2. With Fur (here and throughout): *2 sc, sc x 3, 2 sc* 2X, do not join or turn (14);
For standard case move to R4. For wider case continue:

R3. *2 sc x 2, sc x 3, 2 sc x 2* 2X, do not join or turn (22)

R4. sc arnd (14)[22]

R5-6. Repeat R4; do not fasten, continue to lid

LID

R1. sc x 7(11), ch 6(10), sl st to 1st sc, do not turn (7 sc, 6 chs)[11 sc, 10 chs]

R2. Ch 1, sc in each st across, 5(9) sc arnd ch-6(10), sl st to join in 1st sc, do not turn (12)[20]

R3. Ch 1, dec arnd, weave tail through remaining stitches; Fasten, keeping long tail. (6)[10]

EARS

Ch 5, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across; Fasten. (4)

Finishing

  • Take the long tail from the lid and weave it through and down to the bottom center of the lid: draw tail out of left center stitch and back into the right center stitch, leaving a ½” – ¾” loop. Tie off tail to right center stitch to fasten in place.
<Loop is used for a closure. This is the back side of the bunny.>
  • Sew button to bottom center of case over approx R2 & 3 (on backside).
  • Glue a pom pom to the top of the button. <bunny tail created>
  • Insert 1 – 2” chenille stick from back to front through top of the ear, bring it down and insert it from front to back out of the bottom. Trim as needed, then fold down the tips to secure and hide in the fur. Repeat with the other ear.
  • Close the lid and attach the ears to the top center of the case. I found this easier to do with the hard plastic earbud case inside.
  • Hide all strings.
