Sugarloaf Beanie Crochet Pattern

Featuring the herringbone half double crochet stitch, these hats offer a unique texture, that looks similar to the knit purl stitch. The herringbone stitch adds extra durability too, making them both stylish and practical for everyday wear.

These hats can be made in one solid color, color blocked as shown in the main image, or striped! They would also look great in a self striping or variegated yarns! Plus, you can use 100% acrylic or 100% wool yarns to change the finished look.

What materials do I need?
To make the Sugarloaf Beanie you will need worsted weight yarn in any fiber (as long as it meets gauge), an H/8/5.00mm crochet hook for the hat body and a G/6/4.00mm crochet hook for the brim. I used Lion Brand Wool Ease Yarn in the colors Canyon Sunset, Antler, Fisherman, and Thrush.
