Astrology Afghan Taurus Square
The Astrology Afghan Taurus Square is number two of the astrology afghan, because Taurus is the second sign of the zodiac. The Astrology Afghan is made up of twelve squares, each featuring a zodiac glyph.

Taurus is known for its reliability, patience, and love of comfort. As an Earth sign ruled by Venus, Taurus is grounded, practical, and appreciates beauty and pleasure. They are loyal and hardworking but also enjoy life’s finer things, such as good food, art, and relaxation. Their steadfast nature makes them dependable, though they can sometimes be stubborn.

Notes
- Each square is worked from the bottom up.
- Beginning chains do not count as stitches.
- For each row: chain 1 at the beginning and turn at the end, except for row 59; do not turn at the end of row 59.
- The Aries, Taurus, Gemini, and Pisces squares may come out bigger than the other squares due to the placement of the white, so I suggest trying to keep a tighter tension through the black portion, so the squares can stay uniform. Otherwise, you will have to overstretch your remaining squares to get them attached correctly.
- Block squares to flatten (approximately 15.5-16” x 15.5-16”). I used a steamer to relax my squares and make them easier to stretch.
- I used 100% acrylic, but any worsted weight yarn can be used.

Finishing
- Block squares to 15.5” – 16” x 15.5” – 16”, to remove scalloping edges.
- Join squares by holding them wrong sides / back sides together, matching up the stitches, and single crocheting across. This creates a fun raised border between the squares. You can choose any joining method you prefer though.
I joined them in rows: aries > taurus > gemini (1) // cancer > leo > virgo (2) // libra > scorpio > sagittarius (3) // capricorn > aquarius > pisces (4). I then joined them as rows again: 1 > 2 // 2 > 3 // 3 > 4. - Single crochet in the end of every row and in each stitch around the outside of the afghan, placing one single crochet through the end of the seams (to pin them down) and place two single crochets in each of the eight corner stitches.
- Hide all strings.
- Optional: add a fabric backing to make it extra cozy.
