About the Yarn
To make the Jingle Juice Wine Bottle Bag you will need worsted weight yarn in any fiber and a H/8/5.00mm crochet hook. Gauge is not critical for this project, and the stitchwork is stretchy, so you can use pretty much any #4 weight yarn. - This pattern is worked in a multiple stitch count of 4; the instructions are written for 32 sc, but you can add or remove stitches in multiples of 4.
- To work a gauge swatch, chain 18 then work the pattern below for 15 total rows.

Hold both base pieces together and continue:

R1. Insert hook through both base pieces: Ch 1, *2 sc, sc x 14* 2X, sl st to join, turn (32)
R2. Ch 1, alt. dc in 1st st, dc arnd, sl st to join, turn (32)

Repeat R2 all the way arnd the bag; at the end there will be one unworked sc on the bag body, sl st in the unworked st, then hold both ends of the ribbing together, matching up the stitches: working in the BLO of the left side and FLO of the right side, sl st in each st up; Fasten.
DRAWSTRING
Ch 55; Fasten.
HANDLE
R1. Ch 36, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across, turn (35)
R2. Ch 1, sc across, turn(35)
R3. Ch 1, sc across, do not turn(35)
R4. sl st in the end of each row and in each st arnd the outside; Fasten.
Finishing
- Find front two center ch-1 spaces of R27: Insert drawstring through right ch-1 space, weave drawstring in and out of ch-1 spaces, so the other end of the tail comes out of the left center ch-1 space.
- Fold bag inside out, lay flat, and mark sides. Attach Handle ends centered over the sides: attach the end stitches over R26, do not attach to R27, attach 3rd stitches from end over R28. Repeat on other side.
- Hide all strings.
- Optional: Attach mini pom poms, tassels, buttons, or other embellishments to the ends of the drawstring.
