This stitch is the October 2024 New Year’s Resolution CAL stitch!
The crochet spider stitch is made by working pattern repeats multiple times, creating a dense, textured pattern. This stitch creates a slightly thicker fabric, making it ideal for cozy items like blankets, winter accessories, and even dishcloths.
You can easily adjust hook sizes and yarn weights with the crochet spider stitch and yield different finished looks! And since this is a simple stitch pattern, it’s a great way for beginners to experiment with different yarns!
This stitch would also be beautiful in stripes, color blocks, and variegated yarns! Since this pattern is worked in one row repeats, you can change colors as little or as often as you like!
The crochet Spider Stitch is considered an easy skill level, as it only requires knowledge of basic crochet stitches, but this stitch really can be considered beginner friendly, once you master the single crochet stitch!
