The RBG Mini Stockings (or Ruth Bader Ginsburg Stockings) pattern makes a fun Christmas decor that is quick to whip up. They are completely customizable too; you can change the colors or use just the base of the stocking with a simple single crochet trim.

With the passing of Ruth Bader Ginsburg (RBG), I thought now was the perfect time to make these RBG Mini Stockings as a commemorative tree ornament or mini gift holder!
They are so quick and easy to work up and there are three collar options to choose from. The best part: You could totally design your own collar, since it’s the last step!
I originally designed this to be a large stocking, which I will still make eventually, but this blog hop for quick christmas patterns came together with this design and a lightbulb came on: minis!! I love mini versions of pretty much anything, so I’m pretty jazzed for this project.
Without further ado, here is the RBG Mini Stockings crochet pattern:

What does “sc x 2” mean for row 1 of the collar, in “2 sc, sc x 2”? Two single crochet, and then what? Since you’re making 24 stitches (white) in 18 (black), does it mean ‘2 sc in the next black stitch, then sc in the next two black stitches’, and repeat around?
Thx…
sc x 2 = 1 sc in each of the next 2 sts
2 sc = place 2 scs in the same space.
